The new Flight Simulator 2020 was launched last Tuesday 18th August 2020, for PC and with XBOX Game Pass for PCC (Beta). Let’s remember that the first Flight Simulator was launched thirty-eight years ago, in 1982, and this August it was the right time to launch a new generation that will allow us to enjoy everything from a flight in a light aircraft to large commercial planes, with real-time weather indicators and state-or-the-art aircraft engines; thanks to the technology and tools available to them, they will launch the new version of the most realistic flight simulator and we will now share some of its main features.

Landscapes

With the simulator, we can appreciate our planet as if we were living it in a flight of reality, we will find more than thirty-seven thousand airports in the world, the number of buildings is approximately 1.5 billion, the landscapes have approximately 2 billion trees, and we can observe every detail of the roads, the mountains, the rivers and more.

World

As if it were real life, in Flight Simulator 2020 we can find life on the planet, the traffic will be completely live, furthermore, we will be able to observe animals in the simulation and with regard to the climate, we will notice that this will be in real-time.

Aircraft

To perfect the pilot’s skills we can choose from light aircraft to commercial aircraft with full flight models, inside the aircraft you can see the perfectly designed cabins taking care of every detail and the instrumentation is completely realistic.

Checklist system

With the new verification system, we can go from the beginner’s level to the professional level, scaling from full manual to complete assistance, for this we will use an instrument that is interactive and a checklist.

Time

Users can activate the live weather mode, thanks to the new weather engine in the simulator, so they can experience the weather in real-time, as well as speed, precise wind direction, area humidity, rain, and temperature among other things.

With the new day and night engine, you can experience flying at any time of day, it allows VFR, visual flight rules and navigation; in terms of aerodynamic modelling, it is a state-of-the-art engine that has more than a thousand control surfaces per aircraft, which provides a completely realistic experience, for the enjoyment of both people who are new to a flight simulation and all those professional in aviation.
