Elon Musk is a physicist whose mission is to change the lives of people all over the planet with his technological contributions, which are already considered by most people as a great chance for humanity. Underground tunnel system
The Project consists of a system of tunnels where the autonomous electric vehicles will travel and will be able to cross the City of Las Vegas underground in a matter of minutes. The test tunnel was built by The Boring Company near their headquarters in Hawthorne, California in 2018 and a year later they won the commercial contract in Las Vegas to build this tunnel system for public use.
On September 15, 2020, Elon Musk announced through his Twitter account that one year after starting the construction of the tunnel, the first circular tunnel is almost finished, adding that these tunnels under the city with autonomous electric vehicles that will transport passengers, will feel like a motor warp, referring to the propulsion that is occupied in the Star Trek universe to make a trip above the speed of light.
Ecological Contribution
This Project is a very important piece in the economical urban transport, in combination with the autonomous electric vehicles, since it aspires that a driver is not needed to move the passengers. With this, the dream of completely ecological transport is considered complete.
Time of execution of the work
The construction of the initial tunnels near the Las Vegas Convention Center was completed in May. It is expected that the tunnel system that will run through Las Vegas will be fully operative by 2021 during the Consumer Electronics Show which takes place in January.
