When we talk about the ’80s, we immediately think of a variety of inventions and discoveries that undoubtedly made important changes for a future that was unimaginable, and luckily today we are witnessing those results. The decade of the 80s was an era where we could see that they really took everything to the extreme, from hairstyles, shoulder pads to cars and televisions, in short, there was a great mix of fashion, glamour, excesses, and above all technological advancement. But it was also on this decade of historical changes at a global level where the Y generation was born, best known as Millennials, which compared to the other generations is the most productive, following we will know why.

Problems are faced with organization

Millennials have largely learned from their parents, as they had a highly organized childhood that was distributed between academic and extra-curricular activities; it is for this reason that they manage their time in such a way that they can develop all their pending activities according to their priority to meet their objectives, which they do through task lists. We can also note that approximately 30% of Millennials have a second source of income, even those who have a full-time job, as they are always looking to organize their time to develop other tasks that help them be more productive and as a reward to enjoy a good life.

Time is money, and there is time for everything

For many generations, for example, for the parents of Millennials, home is for sharing and work is for working, they do not mix one thing with another. However, thanks to the planning of Millennials and how aware they are regarding their productive time, they define moments to share or have fun even with their work teams, so it is said that there is time for everything as long as we know how to manage it and have our priorities. We can even know that many of the Millennials bring work for their homes and not for this they stop sharing with their families, after all, we already know from them that there is time for everything; this way of distributing their time between leisure, recreation, and work helps many to be more productive, all in balance. It is a practice that even large companies have been developing, creating leisure and recreational areas for their staff.

Technology is their best tool

The Millennials’ generation grew up knowing how the technological era we know today developed; this generation grew up making use of personal computers and that famous world known as the Internet, Millennials have witnessed how their mobile device that today they carry in the palm of their hand as a tool is more powerful than their first personal desktop computer. That is why they know how to make the most of technology since as teenagers they had to stay in a specific place to enjoy or have access to the entire world of knowledge that the Internet provides; they currently have access to that world 24 hours a day regardless of the place, and in the palm of their hand. This is undoubtedly the best tool we can all have, as long as it is used properly, of course, and Millennials know to take advantage of it.

Do you have any opinion on this topic? Do you know any other practice that Millennials do to be more productive?
