This time we will talk a little about the actor, producer, and former professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson, best known as “The Rock”; Johnson has been an example to follow for many people since he has been a very successful person. Even though his life was not as ideal as many would believe, we will now learn about the keys of his life to overcome the difficult moments and become the charismatic and successful person he is today.

Difficulties forge mentality

Dwayne, a descendant of a Polynesian family from Samoa, was grown up in Hawaii where had to struggle with life from a very young age; he grew up in a wrestling lover family, whose maternal grandparents were promoters in professional wrestling and his father was a wrestler, jobs in which they had to work hard to go ahead; however, because of the trials in life, he and his family went through a difficult situation which even cost him his freedom due to his improper behavior, and shortly afterward he and his family had to leave their home and the island. Although it was a hard time for Dwayne and his family, he values those moments in his life because through difficulties he learned he could do anything so that it would not happen again; Therefore, that experience forcibly helped him to forge the hard-working mentality he enjoys today, which has helped him to achieve each of his goals.

Unwavering faith, be grateful and generous

First of all, Dwayne invites us to practice kindness, to be demanding, and, above all, to be grateful for everything we have. He teaches us we should always make sure we have time to be grateful for everything we have because when we find it, it will inevitably lead us to greater happiness; for his part, due to his unwavering faith, he gets up every day, and thanks to God for everything he has, then attends his priorities personally or by delegating them, always establishing a protocol and rules of behavior, to maintain a balance between kindness, generosity, and demand; and thus make everything flow. Moreover, he does not allow the people around him to work without generosity or kindness.

Understand that failure will come

One of Dwayne’s goals was to be a professional player in the NFL, the Professional Football League in the United States; although he had a very rebellious youth, with family and even delinquency problems, he was invited to join his high school football team; at that moment he fell in love with this sport, and thanks to this he changed his life, his behavior, and way of thinking, and he set goals and think about a professional career. Everything happened just as he thought it would, he studied and graduated from the University of Miami, where he also represented the University’s football team, and although he was not signed to an NFL team, he was signed to the CFL, Canadian Football League; he made his debut with the Calgary Stampeders, but just when he thought he took his dream off, he was fired just a couple of days after his debut; this certainly devastated him, but he says that “playing in the NFL was the best thing that ever happened to me”; and undoubtedly this is very true because maybe it was a dream that Dwayne could not fulfill, but that does not stop him from dreaming and pursuing other things that he would also like to do, such as wrestling and the family business. Finally, we want to share the following words related to this point.

“You are going to get your ass kicked, you are going to get rejected, and you will have to stand up. Be aware that the one thing you want to happen frequently will never happen. So have faith, keep all of this in mind and keep plugging away, trying repeatedly.” (Dwayne Johnson)
