At any circumstance and regardless of the size of a company, the management of its personnel represents a challenge because as leaders we must always ensure that members of each one of the working groups feels committed to the company or business, and feel motivated at all times, however, the year 2020 was a period in which we had to learn to face new challenges and changes that originated in the management of personnel due to the sanitary emergency caused by COVID-19. It is for this reason that below we will learn about some of the labor trends that will help us overcome in 2021 the crises that will probably arise because of the appearance of additional strains of said virus.

Prevention by distancing

As we all know, different activities have been reactivated around the world, however, we should consider that in order to maintain safe work environments, biosafety protocols were adopted, as is the case of physical distancing in any working area, either in the office or in the plants. In this way, we will generate confidence in our workgroups in relation to the safety of their health, thus allowing them to feel ready to return to their place of work if this warrants it.

Truly committed employees

One of the best ways to keep our employees really committed or improve the commitment is through motivation, guaranteeing them professional growth, constant training, work, and personal well-being, guarantee areas and times for recreation. By having really committed collaborators, we can guarantee that our workgroups are more competitive and efficient.

Remote work and digitalization

Undoubtedly, the situation we are living in 2020 showed us it is possible to make our companies work with the collaboration of determined jobs remotely or from home. Many companies had planned to make progressive changes in the work skills, estimating that in a period of approximately five years they would definitely be in the digitalization of their company, but these changes had to be forced in less than a year. It is at this point where remote work and digitalization come into play, which will allow a greater relocation of work, which will have a significant impact not only on company and businesses but also on the dynamics of large cities and the lifestyle of workers, just to mention a few social factors.

The fact is that these are some labor trends expected for this year 2021, however, it should be noted that the digital era is part of us, and although companies maintain the rate of production or even raise it by maintaining remote work in some activities on a par with those who must attend their workplace, we can say that many will reduce physical spaces and this will undoubtedly be the way to work in the future.
