In workgroups, we can find two types of collaborators; on the one hand, we find those who feel that their work is a contribution that either gives meaning to their lives since it is an activity that helps them to be useful because of the recognition they achieve, on the other side, we can find those immersed in a continued job dissatisfaction, which depends in part on certain factors of the company and the attitude of the collaborator. That is why we will now share how to identify job dissatisfaction in our workgroup.

Job dissatisfaction

When leading a group, we must know how to identify if any of the members of our work team do not feel at ease with their work activity since this is a negative response that can cause problems both professionally and personally; we must keep in mind that this attitude can affect several workgroups hence it is important to know how to identify the signs of job dissatisfaction in our staff.

Behavior

Behavior is one sign we can identify in the members of our work team since when there are abrupt or radical changes in behavior or attitude, the collaborator may be experienced work dissatisfaction; that is why effective communication is important in our group and, as leaders as we get to know and discover the personality of our collaborators, it will be much easier to detect when they are dissatisfied at work.

Participation

The purpose of work meetings is to share information and discuss several topics; when an employee feels comfortable with his job, he is usually interested in contributing new ideas or suggestions; when an employee does not want to participate or does not attend, it is time to be concerned and act. As a leader, it is your duty to talk to your collaborator.

Relationship between colleagues

When the members of a work team complement and collaborate, this is observed in the work’s quality and increasing the team’s productivity; otherwise, the result is negative competence within the organization; a dissatisfied employee is unlikely to share good times with his co-workers, and this is reflected in his interpersonal relationships.

Performance and productivity

When we observe a member’s decrease in productivity, it can often be due to fatigue or professional exhaustion; pretending that performing employees is always the same is a mistake; as human beings, it is normal for performance and productivity to be different daily, but when we notice stagnation or an increasing decrease, and other signs of job dissatisfaction, then we should worry.
