Nowadays we all lead a slightly accelerated pace of life, however, there are people who manage to do many things with their time, while others only say “time is not enough for me”. And this last group of people wonders how others do to achieve so many things if we practically all have the same time (24 hours a day), then we will share some tips that will help us get some extra minutes in our day.

Ability to say “no”

Throughout our day, there are people who come to us to offer or share different things (promises, unsuitable business, ideas, gossip, etc.) many of these topics are few productive for our daily production; it is in these cases when we must be able to reject these people, we must be able to say “no”, for example, “I can’t talk right now” or “I can’t attend you at this time”. We must be aware that we are the only ones responsible for our time, which is very valuable and therefore we must take care of it with our ability to say “no”.

Pre-approval

Many people throughout their lives either professionally or personally, at the time of being consulted by some decision-making, lose valuable time in analyzing such a decision; in these cases, we must “pre-approve” these decisions, and the best way to do this is through the definition of limits or delegating the decision-making (within these limits) to avoid this type of consultation since by getting rid of those decisions already “pre-approved” we will be saving time that can be used in other activities.

Decision making on autopilot

Normally, throughout the day we make decisions that we must always make day by day, that is to say, they are decisions that are part of our daily routine, and if we leave to define them at the moment, they can come to take away valuable time from our day, therefore, we must put them in “autopilot” so as not to lose more time on them. An example of this type of decision is what kind of food we will eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or something as simple as deciding what clothes we will wear each day. Therefore, we must analyze which are those variables that day by day are part of us to define them and make an automatic decision for each one of such variables, this way we won’t lose in this decision-making since they are already defined; therefore, we are simplifying our day by saving time.

Time for us

We must be aware that time is very valuable, that is why we must always schedule work or family meetings, however, we must always take time for ourselves, whether it be thinking, reading, meditating, resting, etc. it does not matter what activity we choose, the important thing is that it is a time that makes us feel well and allow us to free ourselves from stress. We can take advantage of these moments to analyze and evaluate among other things our way of thinking, be aware if we have an “abundant mind” or a “poor mind” to start changing it if necessary, you can read about this topic in our article entitled 5 tips to have an abundant mind.
