Fear of failure
This is perhaps the first mistake that every entrepreneur can have, and it is nothing more than feeling afraid of failure. It is true that we all present this fear at the moment of just thinking of an idea, but we should not make the mistake of believing that it is going to fail since in this way we have not even allowed it to be born when we are already burying it. Therefore, let’s face that fear of failure and dare to give the first steps, since if we stumble or fall it will only be part of our learning.
Not forming an adequate team, or asking for help
As we all know, being an entrepreneur is somewhat a difficult task, and it does not matter what task or objective of the project is, moving forward alone will be more complicated, but nevertheless, this is a mistake that many entrepreneurs have made when starting our project, believing that we will be able to cover all the areas that make up our project. For this reason, when starting or thinking about a new project we must focus on what will be the objectives we want to achieve and what we will need to continue growing. And the best thing for our project to grow and achieve our goals is from the beginning to seek help from entrepreneurs, or professionals who can advise us, we will always need some legal support, accounting, in terms of experience level support or in any other working area. After everything is on track, we must begin to form an adequate work team that is committed, and feel identified with our project, and from which we can receive other ideas and self-criticism to continue growing.
Not having the ability to adapt
When we are entrepreneurs we can get two scenarios, in the first case if we are entrepreneurs with an innovative idea of a product or service we will have to know very well our market and present our product or service as a solution to a problem, so we can generate potential customers, therefore to success, in this case, we must know to adapt ourselves to the needs of people to be able to evolve our product or service and thus grow our project over time.
The second case is to undertake in a world where there are already competitors, in these cases we must focus on our weaknesses to turn them into strengths, and we must identify our soft and hard skills to enhance them, in this way with an adequate team we can enter a market with a work team trained to provide a quality product or service. We can say that we would follow in this way 7 Steve Jobs rules for success, if we do not sell garbage we will feel proud of our product.
Not accepting mistakes
There are many mistakes that we can make as entrepreneurs since undertaking something will always be complicated, but the most important thing is to always admit that we are wrong and accept the mistake made, in this way we can learn and thus take the necessary decisions and measures to find the most appropriate solution, and thus control the situation at the right time.
