Sincerity
First, to start with effective communication as leaders, we must be sincere; remember that we must explain most clearly and simply the expectations of our work team and the objectives and strategies to achieve them; we must know when to communicate individually or in groups; in this type of communication, the emphasis is on sincerity, as we will generate respect and trust within our work team.
Active listening
When we want our communication to be effective, as leaders, we must encourage active listening, as this is an important tool for a leader; it is a fundamental element that comprises the ability to listen, not only to the person who is expressing himself but also refers to the ability to understand the idea from the point of view of the speaker, and to achieve this we need a certain empathy from the listener.
This type of communication can show to the person who is expressing himself that we, as listeners, really understand the message, feelings, thoughts, or ideas.
Good use of this tool
When we use effective communication skills, we will generate an organizational culture based on ownership, loyalty, and a sense of belonging by our collaborators towards the work team, resulting in a group of motivated and valued collaborators, as they will have clear and defined roles within the work team, as well as feeling that their opinions are being considered and their ideas related to the projects are put into practice.
